I Come to You God Almighty
~ Genesis 17:1
Father, in the name of Jesus, I come to say forgive me Lord for any offense in my prayers of petition. I know Lord that my primary objective in prayer is to come close to You, oh Lord. Forgive me if I have come, in the past, asking for things without a posture of gratitude. I come to You to be with You, and to thank You for life. I am seeking clarity from You as it pertains to fixing my life in the area if [name it ]. I thank You Lord that You allow me to come to You with everything and all things when I am weary and burdened. I thank You that in Matthew 11:28, Your promise to give me rest still stands. I thank You Lord that You allow me to come to You as my source and my provider for every need (Philippians 4:19.) I thank You that I don’t have to depend on flesh (Psalms 118:8), because I can depend on You. Now, God, I ask for Your help in stepping fully into total reliance over other areas in my life, like my job, my parents, my spouse, and other concerns that only You know about.
In my total reliance of You, please forgive me if, in my prayers, I have pressed You on all sides just to supply my needs. Forgive me, Lord for overlooking Your commands. Please show me the errors of my ways, oh God, so that I might seek You for forgive- ness and repent. God I accept Your Word cautioning me not to simply be a hearer of Your Word, but also a doer of the Word (James 1:22.) I believe Your Word, which reminds me that faith without a corresponding action is dead (James 2:14.) God, help me to take appropriate action over the areas where my responsibility is lacking. I don’t want to move out of Your will. I know I must take personal responsibility for my life. I declare that I am a new creature. Take complete control of my life. Balance out my prayer. Take me deeper in my walk with You so I can move from petition to presence. Lord, I just want to be in your presence. I just want to sit at your feet. I declare and decree that I am responsible. I declare and decree that I will show up decently and in order. I declare and decree that every issue and every matter will be repaired, restored, and resolved in Jesus’ name. Thank You, God. Amen.
